Now, I have the real evidence of slowness of internet in our college. This youtube video is a 9 secs long video. However, when I tried to watch this video, it took more than 30 secs. I have video captured my laptop screen and posted the video above.

Wow, I admire your commitment to this topic since you took the time to video the slowness of the internet. But your observation about the slowness of the internet and your assertion that taking 30 seconds that should take 9 seconds is much too long made me think. In the real world, we probably don't think that 30 seconds is too long (for example, I would love it if when I was commuting I only had to wait 30 seconds for the inevitably late train), but when we're on the internet suddenly, what's actually quite fast, seems interminably slow.
ReplyDeleteYes, 30 seconds is not a long time but I took the video of 9 secs just for an example. If I had to watch a 10 mins long video then maybe I would need to wait for at least 20 minutes..And 20 minutes extra for a 10 minutes long video is a long time..
